We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our company's financial operations and ensure the integrity of accounting information. The Controller will be responsible for managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading the budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of corporate finance, exceptional strategic thinking skills, and a proactive approach to optimizing financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all domestic and international accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
• Foster relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions for funding and investment opportunities
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Provide financial insights, forecasts, and analysis to support high-level decision-making
• Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and analysis to drive company objectives
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, presenting data to the CEO, board of directors, and external stakeholders
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting
• Lead the preparation for internal and external audits
• Lead accounting ERP implementation
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and growth

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in a senior role
• Proven working experience as a Controller, Senior Accountant, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, GAAP, and corporate finance
• Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamic)
• Proficiency with project management tools and software, such as NetSuite, QuickBooks or similar platforms
• Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and analytical skills
• Experience in the HVAC industry is a plus
