What is R-438A?

R-438A (a blend of R-32, R-125, R-134a, R-600, and R-601a) is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant designed as a direct replacement for R-22 in existing air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Its unique formulation makes it compatible with both mineral oil (MO) and alkylbenzene (AB) lubricants, allowing for seamless retrofitting without the need for extensive system modifications.
